Rescue crews Wednesday were searching for a small plane after the pilot reported losing power. The aircraft then dropped off the radar near Glendale.
The pilot radioed the Glendale Airport air-traffic control tower around 8:55 a.m. He told the tower he had lost power and was going down 25 miles south-southeast of Glendale, said Ian Gregor, spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration.
