A trailer of a documentary charting Joaquin Phoenix’s career breakdown has been released – adding more confusion to the mysterious project.

The film claims to study a “lost year” in the life of the actor, as he quit Hollywood films to try to become a rap star.

Directed by his brother-in-law Casey Affleck, I’m Still Here follows the “reinvention” which has left critics and fans dumbfounded.
