The Phoenix Mercury are looking for a few good men for their WNBA teams.

The tryout will be from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, March 27. Interested basketball players must be at least 18-years-old. Those selected with get a new pair of basketball shoes and tickets to a Suns and Mercury game.

Arizona still faces high unemployment

The unemployment rate in Arizona for the month of January was essentially unchanged at 9.2 percent – this following annual benchmarking which adjusted December 2009’s rate to 9.2 percent. The U.S. unemployment rate declined 0.3 points to 9.7 percent in January from 10 percent in December 2009.

Bus accident claims 6 lives

A devastating traffic accident involving a tour bus occurred this morning in Phoenix Arizona on Interstate 10, one mile east of the Gila River Bridge. The accident involved two semi trucks, several cars and the tour bus.

Reportedly the tour bus was heading west on I-10 when it collided with a vehicle and flipped over. The crash caused a chain reaction with the other vehicles. Six people were thrown from the bus and killed. All 6 victims are said to be adults.
